SCO Nations Gather in Yangling, Shaanxi as Dual Exhibitions Deepen International Agricultural Cooperation

　　The 33rd China Yangling Agricultural Hi-Tech Fair (CAF) and the 2026 SCO Agricultural Expo opened simultaneously on October 25 in Yangling, Shaanxi Province, attracting more than 2,000 participating organizations from 51 countries and regions。

　　The five-day CAF is themed “A New Future of Agriculture with New Quality Productive Forces。” It features 9 specialized exhibition zones, including agricultural high-tech achievements, international agricultural exchanges and cooperation, and specialty and premium agricultural products. During the event, key activities including the Seed Industry Innovation Forum, Agricultural Science and Technology Forum, and Rural Vitalization Forum will be held. Enterprises will be invited to release their new technologies, products, equipment, and business models, complemented by supporting activities focusing on investment, trade, and the integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism。

　　Held concurrently, the 2026 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Agricultural Expo is themed “Deepening Practical Cooperation • Jointly Charting a Development Blueprint,” with Egypt serving as the Theme Country. All 27 SCO member countries are participating in the event. The expo covers a total exhibition area of 15,000 square meters and features specialized sections, including an exhibition on economic and trade exchanges among SCO countries. It showcases the achievements member countries have made in recent years in agricultural trade, technological exchanges and other areas of cooperation. 9 activities will be held during the expo, including the SCO Roundtable on the Development of Modern Agriculture and the Conference on Agricultural Cooperation and Development. In addition, more than 180 cooperation proposals involving SCO countries have been collected from over 100 Chinese research institutes and enterprises, with the overall effectiveness and quality of practical cooperation set to improve comprehensively.

　　“Products such as dried fruits from Tajikistan are very popular with Chinese consumers. This time, we have brought a wide range of specialty products to the expo, with dried apricots, dried mulberries and specialty chocolate proving particularly popular,” said Lola, an exhibitor from Tajikistan. Lola, who is participating in the CAF for the fourth time, said her company has established new partnerships at every edition. Last year, it successfully connected with a local enterprise in Xi’an. She hopes to use this year’s event as a platform to expand its network of Chinese partners further。

　　This year’s fair is showcasing more than 9,000 achievements in four categories of agricultural innovation: new technologies, products, equipment, and business models. More than 11,000 exhibitors are participating, and visitor numbers are expected to exceed 1 million during the event。

　　Founded in 1994, the CAF has been held successfully for 32 consecutive editions. Over the years, it has brought together more than 30,000 agricultural enterprises, scientific and educational institutions, and other organizations from over 80 countries and regions. The fair continues to showcase agricultural scientific and technological innovations from China and abroad, promote practical agricultural technologies, and deepen international agricultural exchanges and cooperation。
