Sun Life Foundation expands child health and development program in Muntinlupa City with Project SUNBRIGHT Multiplied

　　MANILA, PH – (September 2026) – Sun Life Financial-Philippines Foundation, Inc. (Sun Life  Foundation) continues to champion a brighter future for children with the launch of Project  SUNBRIGHT Multiplied, extending comprehensive nutrition, caregiving, early learning, and  community health support to additional families in Muntinlupa City. 

　　As the third phase of its SUNBRIGHT program, Project SUNBRIGHT Multiplied now encompasses  Barangay Cupang and Barangay Poblacion alongside the original Barangay Alabang. This  expansion is expected to directly support approximately 1,600 residents, including children,  pregnant and lactating women, and primary caregivers. An additional 65,500 Muntinlupa  residents are also expected to indirectly benefit from the strengthened capacity of the local  community healthcare system to provide guidance, information, and services. 

　　This expansion builds on the program’s proven track record since its 2023 launch in Barangay  Alabang, which focused on promoting exclusive breastfeeding, child nutrition, and maternal  health while building the capacity of community health, nutrition, and child development  service providers. In 2025, Project SUNBRIGHT+ evolved to integrate the Responsive Caregiving  and Early Learning framework, promoting safe, nurturing, and consistent childcare while 

　　providing technical assistance to strengthen local government ordinances on maternal and child  health. 

　　Implemented in collaboration with Save the Children Philippines, Project SUNBRIGHT Multiplied  represents a shared commitment to advancing child welfare across Muntinlupa City. 

　　A ceremonial project launch was held in Muntinlupa City, attended by representatives from Save  the Children Philippines, Muntinlupa City Health Office, and Sun Life Foundation, led by its  Executive Director Kristine Millete. 

　　“Shaping brighter futures for children means knowing and responding to their vital needs.  Through this expansion, we aim to bring safe, nurturing, and developmentally supportive care to  more children and families,” said Millete. “We also seek to support more caregivers, strengthen  community-based care systems, and help more children get a healthier and brighter start in  life。”
